Hikaru Yonezaki, violin
Hikaru Yonezaki is a seventh grader at Oak Hill Middle School in Newton, MA. She began playing the violin at age four wih the Suzuki method in Japan. Since coming to the United States, she has studied with Fudeko Takahashi.
She received honorable mentions at New England String Ensemble's String Concerto Competition and Brockton Symphony's Youth Concerto Competition. She played solo with New England Conservatory's Youth Repertory Orchestra as a winner of a concerto competition at NEC.
She is currently a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra at NEC. Aside from music, Hikaru enjoys cooking, reading, and studying foreign languages.
