Thank you for joining us for our final Family Discovery Concert of the 2015-2016 season, A Musical Springtime!
We got into the swing of Spring with a wonderful collaboration that brought together artists and musicians, young and old, to celebrate the season and the power of music! Student musicians from Newton's All-City Orchestra and the Lincoln-Eliot String Ensemble played side-by-side with the orchestra, and then the New Phil played movements from Beethoven's radiant Pastoral Symphony to a slideshow of artwork inspired by the piece, created by students of New Art Center, Lincoln-Eliot Elementary School, and The Children's Cooperative Nursery School. It was a concert for, of, and by kids, and we thank you for joining us on such a beautiful, sunny Sunday!
And of course, no New Phil Family Discovery Concert would be complete without our acclaimed Instrument Petting Zoo!
